We are certified food handlers and take food safety very serious. For safety and ease of transport, all food is sold frozen. After buying, food should be immediately placed in a cooler or refrigerator to maintain temperature. Do not thaw before reheating. Cooking times will vary depending on microwave.
Pasteles:
Steamer: steam for approx. 20 minutes or until hot.
Microwave: heat up 1 at a time. Run pastele under cold water for 30 seconds to make removal of foil easier. Remove foil and place on a microwave safe plate. Important: set power to 50% or medium. Heat up for 3-5 minutes or until hot. Do not overheat. Overheating will change the texture of the pasteles. Placing a wet napkin on the pastele before microwaving will help keep it moist.
Gandule Rice:
Microwave: remove rice from bag and place on a microwave safe dish. Heat up rice for 3 minutes. Stir rice. Heat up for additional 2-4 minutes or until hot.
Panadijas:
Microwave: Do not thaw. Heat up 1 at a time. Place frozen panadija on a microwave safe plate, uncovered. Important: Set power to 50% or medium. Heat up Panadija for 5 minutes or until hot.
